Attended a great meeting on silencer construction and related issues hosted by WAGuns.org today. My contribution was an update on what we have learned about using gun trusts to acquire silencers, and what we have learned about owner issues. One member told the story of being stopped by a Forest Ranger (LEO) who is also a full law enforcement officer. He was asked for proof of ownership of his silencer… owned by a corporation. He showed a corporate application with his signature, and a Certificate of incorporation which satisfied the officer.
I thinked that he dodged a bullet. You see, there was no real documentation that he was entitled to BE IN POSSESSION of that corporate property, if the officer wanted to push it.
