Should FFLs Be Government Agents?

By  Dennis Brislawn

A colleague of mine, attorney Steven Halbrook, PhD, J.D., wrote a letter to Congress last month.  It was great and you can download it here.

What did he say?  Well, he told Congress that requiring a dealer to perform background checks for transfers between private parties in a state, with a legal transaction would be unconstitutional!

Steve’s letter goes into other areas, too, which have to do with radical expansion of government power… seemingly without limit.

I’m kind of concerned about all this, and not just the parts related to guns or gun control.  Government seems to be more and more intrusive into my life, deciding what I can and cannot do.  I thought this was a “free” society with limited government.

What do you think?
